Rick Ross ft. Dr. Dre & Jay-Z – 3 Kings (Official Video)

On the same day as the release of "God Forgives I don't," Ross decided to bless his fans by dropping the "3 Kings" visual. With tight schedules, it would be difficult to actually get Rick Ross, Jay-Z and Dr Dre together for a video shoot. Dre Films directed the video, which is a collage of pictures and videos from all three artist. The director did a nice job of choosing the images that coincided with each verse. Check out the unique video below.

Chris Tucker To Play Smokey In Last Friday Movie

It seems as though Ice Cube has convinced Chris Tucker to play "Smokey" again for the final "Friday" installment. We now have a official name and movie poster floating around on the internet for the previously confirmed "Friday 4" project. The movie will be named "Last Friday" and according to the poster the film will include Tucker. Ice Cube confirmed in March that he was working on the script for the film, and the role of "Smokey" would be included. At that time Cube stated that he had talked with Chris Tucker about reprising the role of Smokey, but Tucker was reluctant because of religious beliefs. Mike Epps (Day-Day) and Katt Williams (Money Mike) are also confirmed to be apart of the film. On paper this movie has the making to be as good as the original. We will have to wait until December 2013 to find out. We will provide a trailer for the film when one becomes available.

Throwback Jamz: Whodini "One Love"

Soo we really dug in the crates for this one. This group definitely deserves some recognition for their role in hip hop during the 80s, for Whodini was an original expressive group who seem to always have a profound message in their music . The track "One Love" could serve as education for some who are new to the game of committed relationship. Both artist give their experiences, sharing that they took their partner's love for granted. Only in the absence did they realize just what they had.

Wish You Were Still Here...Sherman Hemsley

Sherman Hemsley(74) passed away yesterday from natural cause in his Texas home. The Philadelphia native Hemsley was famous for his role as "George Jefferson," from the 70's "The Jeffersons" sitcom. Many might not know that "The Jeffersons" characters were initially from the 70's sitcom "All In The Family." Two years later after their initial appearance on "All In The Family," the "The Jeffersons" got its own spin-off sitcom. Hemsley also enjoyed fame as church deacon Ernest Frye, on the 80's sitcom "Amen." As one of the first African-American television actors, Hemsley paved the way for generations of minority actors to follow. We here at Im Just Saying pay our respects to Mr. Hemsley... Future ft. Diddy & Ludacris "Same Damn Time" Remix (Official Video)

Soo apparently Future was able to find 2 rich rappers to brag along on his track At The Same Damn Time. Who knew this saying could get this much attention?(lol) Future wanted to continue to tell you, that he is very well capable of multitasking. Chances are Diddy jumped at the notion to be apart of the music, being that no one performs major tasks simultaneously better than him. Ludacris of course was a good fit as well telling his followers, this is how he prefers to run his businesses.  Take the time to listen up, and tell us could Luda be addressing Big Sean, Drake and 2 Chainz At The Same Damn Time??

A Voice To A Jazzy Rhythm: Elle

Soo I believe the followers and supporters of Rhythm-and-Blues, shall accept and appreciate this contribution to the culture. This type type of sound is just what the game has been missing, a sound that is deep rooted and represents the passion in melody that all singers should possess.

Born in Ghana, singer Elle moved to Philadelphia when she was 3 and has resided there ever since.  Her interest in music started at a young age as she sang in the choir. Confident in her ability, she decided to devote all of her free time to enhance her vocals. Over the years she was able to develop a sound that hovers between the dramatic highs of Mariah Carey and the subtle shadings of Norah Jones. Determined to keep growing as an artist , she was drawn to the influence by her modern day favorites Alicia Keys and Corrine Bailey Rae.  Now well seasoned in her craft, Elle's music creates a blissful marriage of prose and melody that embraces your heart, and feeds your soul.

She released her first album back in 2008, titled Once Upon a Time. The songs were well received allowing Elle to establish a supportive fan base. She was recently added on Pandora radio (Click here to visit), giving listeners a chance to form their playlist from their favorite tracks. Her latest project is her hit single "Tired" where she softly expressed her emotions over a mixture of jazzy instruments. The video was shot on the streets of Philadelphia and was directed by Prince Rasheed.  Elle is now working on her next album, where she will continue to deliver her signature sound.

You can find Elle's music on: iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, & all other Major Digital Music Stores, (Album-"Once Upon a Time" and new single "Tired")

G.O.O.D. Music Covers Complex (August/September Issues)

Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music crew recently sat down with Complex Magazine for a interview/photo shoot. All members of the crew were present for the interview except for Kanye West. Im sure the choice of cover art will be under heavy scrutiny with my religious folks. All of the members of G.O.O.D. music heads form to make a cross with the words, "In Good We Trust" written across the bottom. I think the idea was cool but the actually image gives off a airy vibe. During the article the all the members of G.O.O.D. Music chimed in and offered their opinions. Kid Cudi, Common, Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend, 2 Chainz, and Q-Tip discussed "what G.O.O.D. means to them as a brand, Kanye's relentless pursuit of perfection, the variety of styles found in the crew, what to expect in the near future." Check out the behind the scenes footage below and get this issue of Complex Magazine when it hits stands August 7th.

50 CENT... THE BOXING PROMOTER

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is now adding "boxing promoter" to his long list of business ventures. Fifty is now officially licensed as a boxing promoter in the State of New York. The G-Unit king will ultimately have plans to get his promoter license in Nevada as well. The boxing promotion company will be named The Money Team Promotions (TMT.) Fifty, reportedly will be initially representing up and coming boxers Yuri Gamboa and Andre Dirrell. With world champion boxer and best friend Floyd Mayweather currently being behind bars, there's no indication of whether Fifty and Floyd will eventually join forces as promoters. Can Curtis Jackson become the new Don King in the boxing world??? If anyone can pull this venture off it's 50 Cent.

Throwback Jamz: Big Daddy Kane "Ain't No Half Steppin"

Soo just where would Hip Hop be without contributions from this emcee. Coming straight out of Brooklyn Big Daddy Kane emerged on the scene in the mid 80's and spit his way to the top. He was know for his viscous flow, and humorous punchlines.  Kane had much success during his reign in Hip Hop, leading us to the chosen track. Ain't No Half Steppin was a huge hit for Kane, being that he was addressing all the slackers in the game. He also felt that many of the emcees of that time was imitating his style, and he wanted to set the record straight.

Ain't No Half Steppin was produced by Marley Marl, and was featured on the album Long Live The Kane released in 1988 by Cold Chillin' Records.

B.G. Ordered To Serve 14 Years In Prison...

Soo things have just gotten worse for former Hot Boy B.G. Born Christopher Dorsey, B.G. went by the rap name "Baby Gangster." Yesterday a judge sentenced him to a 14 year sentence in a federal prison, from a gun possession charge dating back in 2009. Police found three guns, as well as loaded magazines, in the car, two of which had been reported stolen, and later determined that the car had been stolen from an Alamo rental car location.

The penalty was rather sever because B.G. was already a convicted felon and his possession of a firearm was an immediate violation. Also the New Orleans native rapper was found guilty of witness tampering.  He apparently persuaded his associate in the car to take ownership of the guns. Later the police would dig the truth forcing B.G. to plead guilty.

B.G. has not had the best of luck in the past 10 years. He has had many brushes wit the law, making it hard to restore his rap career to the level it was with Cash Money Records.

Wish You Were Still Here: Ms. Melodie

Soo it has been confirmed that Hip Hop has suffered another loss. Born Ramona Parker, Hip Hop artist Ms. Melodie was confirmed dead last night upon various reports. Ms. Melodie was a member of Boogie Down Production and was once married to emcee KRS-One in the mid-late 1980's. Still the cause of death is uncertain.

The Brooklyn native, Melodie gained much attention when she released her 1988 single "Hype According to Ms. Melodie." She releases her only album a year later titled Diva which was heavily produced by KRS-One. She also appeared on the East Cost collaboration "Self Destruction."

Ms. Melodie was 43 at the time of her death, she will be missed by her family and the entire Hip Hop comunity. May she rest Rest In Peace.

The Dream Team Debate: Kobe vs Jordan

Kobe Bryant caused a stir last week after stating that he believed the 2012 Olympic basketball team could beat the 92' Dream Team. Some feel that Kobe has a legit argument, others laughed at the notion. The most prominent 92' Dream Team member Micheal Jordan couldn't help but laugh after he was made aware of Kobe's comment. Jordan laughed with media members after he was told that Kobe said the Dream Team was "old" and not "athletic" enough to keep up with the 12' squad. Most members of the Dream Team were in the prime of their careers. The 2012 team have players that haven't been in the league for five years yet.

Although the 2012 Olympic team consists of players like: LeBron James, Kobe Brynat, Kevin Durant and Deron Williams; I would still have to take the Dream Team over these guys. Jordan put the nail in the coffin after making this final comment...
"I'd like to think that we had 11 Hall of Famers on that team, and whenever they get 11 Hall of Famers, you call and ask me who had the better Dream Team. Remember now, they learned from us. We didn't learn from them."
Jordan and myself are not the only ones siding with the 92' Dream Team. Last night President Obama took in a men's Olympic basketball exhibition game. After watching the 12' USA squad struggle to beat Brazil President Obama gave his opinion during the interview below. Check out the video and tell us which team you would take.

Must Be The Music: Radio Syheem

Soo some say the music has become a way of life, giving inspiration and meaning to one's journey. This particular journey began on the streets of Philadelphia, where one artist has expressed his true passion for creating music.

Born Syheem Wright, Radio Syheem was influenced at a young age by the golden era of Hip-Hop and R&B in the late 80's and early 90's. He devoted most of his time listening to the authenticity of the artists of that time, hoping to find a lane that he could drive in alone. Finally, in 2010 Syheem began recording at the age of 26, introducing a style of charisma and aggression. He formed a group titled UFO's which features J.Ford and Steel Lo. The group has worked hard to maintain their hardcore image and the buzz has grown allowing the them to perform in various venues throughout the city.

Syheem released his first mixtape in the summer of 2011 titled Radio, where listeners could get a feel of his Hip-Hop roots. Not satisfied with just creating the music, Syheem look to present it as well. In 2012 he began directing, editing and filming all music videos he was a part of. Once again he was able to line the vision up with the story, giving viewers a look from his perspective.

His latest project(image above) was a mixtape titled BoomBox released on July 6th 2012. The mixtape features The UFO's and picks up right where Radio left off.
To get more information you can contact Syheem @RadioSyheem and check out his YouTube channel at 215UFO.

Check out the video below filmed and directed by Radio Syheem.

The video which was directed by DRE Films, also features Drizzy Drake and Jeremiah on the track. This past week, Meek was criticized publicly by a Philadelphia pastor for the use of the word "Amen" in his song. How do y'all feel about the use of "Amen" for Meek's track??? Check out the video below and leave your opinion.

Comedy Corner: Affion Crockett Jay-Z/Lil Wayne "WTF"

Affion Crockett dressed as Lil Wayne
Soo lets get back to the comedy shall we. Yessir he's back again, your man Affion Crockett. King of the rap spoofs and the lyrical imitations. Not only is he imitating again, he just released this single titled "WTF" off of his up and coming album Watch The Clone.

The song portrays Affion acting as both Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. Apparently Jay-z has a huge problem with the way Lil Wayne chooses to dress these days, and he wants some answers(lol). You will see Affion dressed in some weird tight apparel posing as Lil Wayne. He wrote the whole song...lol

Clash of The Titans: Obama Vs Romney

Soo my real political people love it when I talk like this. For the next four months all media airwaves will be full of debating, criticizing, complaining and promoting. The 2012 presidential election campaign will be the top reality show by far. As expected both parties have begun taking shots looking to gain any amount of leverage they can.

The Republicans seem to be pretty confident in their presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and why not? Romney has gained a tremendous amount of momentum over the past couple of months, raising $100 million in the month of June alone. The largest amount by any GOP candidate ever in a single month.  This proves that Romney is getting his share of support making him a formidable opponent.  He has come out swinging from the start criticizing Obama's four year reign, suggesting that he mishandled the attempt for economic recovery. Lately Romney has been voicing his displeasure with the introduction of Obama care. He tells all, that Obamacare is killing jobs while  increasing spending for the government and American family.

video

The Democrats on the other hand, believe they have just a good of chance winning this year as they did back in 2008. Although he is heavily criticized most times for the nation's financial status, Obama has not fallen far out of public favor just yet. Obama has been throwing some jabs of his own in his speeches as well. He states Romney has previously invested in companies that has pioneered in outsourcing. Obama shared that Romney's firms specialized in sending could U.S jobs to Mexico and China. Outsourcing is the last thing American people wanna hear, in this type of faltering economy.
video

Stayed tuned as the training for this heavyweight bout will surely intensify. Both parties will dig and expose as much dirt as they can, all in hopes to become victorious in November. #Im Just Saying

Young Buck Ordered To Return To Prison...

Soo things are really starting to piling up on the former G-Unit rapper Young Buck. The Nashville, ennessee native was ordered by a judge yesterday to complete a 3-year jail sentence. It is believed that the rapper may only have to serve 18months because of time served. The charge dates back to 2010 when police raided the rappers home, only to find  a .40 caliber Glock.

Already a convicted felon, Buck was found guilty of the possession. He claims he knows nothing about the firearm, and also adds he is not a snitch.

He stated this in the video below.."I got to go to the penitentiary for two months, F*@k with me for real, hold me down and when I get out of the penitentiary, all you rap niggas better get the f*@k out the way. I ain't even gonna say no names, but it's a good thing I'm about to go to the penitentiary."

Charlamagne Da God Hit In The Head Before Radio Show

Radio host/television personality, Charlamagne Da God had a physical altercation outside of NY Power 105 radio studio this week. He was approached by "5 old heads" for a DVD "drop" and one of the men proceeded to hit Charlamagne in head. The controversial moment of the altercation, is Charlamagne running from the guys after being hit. The public will probably say that Charlamagne went out like a "sucka" for taking off down the street after being hit in the head. In Charlamagne defense, I don't think it"s a smart move to attempt to take on five men before going to work. There has been a on going feud between NY radio personalities Charlamagne and Funk Master Flex. Some feel like this altercation could have been setup by Flex in retaliation for words exchanged between the two. Check out the video below and tell us what you would do if you were ever in this situation. lol

Nas "Bye Baby"(Official Audio)

Soo now we get to hear how Nas feels about his divorce from Kelis. Bye Baby was just released and while it somewhat dramatic, it definitely lets you know some of the details of the marriage. The track was produced by Salaam Remi and Drake's longtime friend and producer Noah "40" Shebib.  Its no secret that Nas still cares for his wife, as he holds her wedding dress on his album.

As always Nas does not follow the format of modern hip hop. He seems to always stay true to his music by creating his own lane and expressing how he feels regardless of the content. Yes he has embraced freedom of speech(lol). On this track, he reveals that he felt Kelis had some trust issues stemming from her Father's infidelity with her mother. Thus leading to hostile arguments in the relationship.

Nas and Kelis wedding day
Still Nas finds good things to say about his Ex, proudly speaking of the spunky energy she always provided. Here he tells us that he is grateful for their son, but their union as a couple has been broken and he has moved on. He does not sound bitter as he admits he willing to try marriage again, if he can choose the right one.

Check out the audio below.

The Art of Storytelling: MC Lyte

Soo on this segment we chose a female artist who definitely knew how to rock a microphone. MC Lyte is arguably the greatest female rapper of our time. Her talent stood out and matched up well with the male artist in her era. Her aggressive flow highlighted her delivery, while the lyrical content never disappointed.

Lyte's single Poor Georgie was Hip Hop at its finest. She was able to get personal with her audience, letting us in on her soft feminine side along with how she felt about finding someone special. She explained that she was indeed attracted to a man named Georgie, and would follow his lead, only if he was able to treat her as a lady at all times. George was mentioned as a ladies man, but Lyte was willing to accept this. She even mentioned "I don't care about the other girls, just be good to me." Thus showed that she was not naive to the game of relationships and would not tolerate disrespect.  She also shared that she was aware of Georgie's terminal illness(lung cancer) and his battle with alcoholism. A battle that he would eventually lose after a night of drinking and driving.

The song was also chosen because it did have some important messages. Lyte did her best to explain and forewarn about the consequences of drinking and driving. It appeared that she had lost someone close to her and she willing to share her pain, if it meant saving another life.  She did admit her regrets of not not speaking her true feelings while he was alive, maybe that can a lesson as well. Cherish and appreciate all of your loves ones while thy are living, because "No One Is Promised Tomorrow."

J-Cole's Journey: Rags To Riches...

Yes...J-Cole has earned himself some airtime amongst hip-hop spitters. This fast flow emcee from Fayetteville NC has been putting in work to improve his situation. After signing with Roc Nation, complements of Sean Carter(lol) Cole has been flowing on tracks non stop as well as producing them. He just recently toured in London with Drake where he filmed a video for his hit single "In the Morning" ft Drake(whom in my opinion took the track over lol). Still J-Cole is a young hungry rapper who gives u that old school hip-hop feeling, with timely metaphors and punchlines. He doesn't seem afraid to open up about his experiences in his life, right or wrong he appears to be true to his music...Check out and old freestyle from the mix tape "The Come-Up."

Nas ft Amy Winehouse "Cherry Wine" (Official Audio)

Soo just the thought of Cherry Wine, sounds soft and soothing. I believe thats the appeal that Nas and Amy Winehouse was going for when they collaborated on this one. The track will be listed on Nas's new album titled Life Is Good  scheduled to be released on July 17th. The two seem to have pretty good chemistry together, being that this is their second duo together. Nas featured on "Like Smoke" which appeared on Winehouse's posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures

Nas switches gears on this one, slowed up a bit for his audience explaining in to detail the kind of woman he prefers and why. Amy comes right in to deliver that soulful voice that she was blessed with. Cherry Wine definitely has a classy feel to it.

Check out the audio below.
