Google Chrome Is Now Featured On Mobile Devices

Google's super fast web browser "Chrome" is now available on mobile smart-phones and devices. Mobile phone users are now able to utilize Chrome's browser for an enhanced surfing experience on their IPhone, IPad or Android. The cool feature to the mobile Chrome is that once logged in on your mobile device, users will be able to track what is currently on their home computer's browser. After downloading the app to my IPhone, it seems like the Chrome browser is loading faster than the standard Safari browser. Google continues to make improvements to their technology, making life easier for the people using their products. You can find the new Chrome web browsing application for free in the Android Market or Apple's App Store.

Constitutional? Supreme Court Upholds Obamacare..

Soo the medical community got what they were looking for today. Early this morning the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of Obamacare, ruling 5-4 that Congress acted within its power when it required Americans to have health insurance or pay a fine(Effective 2014). This health care reform program has been a topic of  controversy since 2010 when The Affordable Care Act was passed, guaranteeing all Americans health care, but mandates that all American have health insurance.

Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the court’s four liberal justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor to form the 5-4 majority. The goal is to bring coverage to 30 million uninsured amreicans , a task that the Obama administration haas worked hard to perform. 

 The Affordable Care act now will start implementing phases of the program. Some parts are already in affect such as: Young adults can stay on their parents’ insurance up to age 26. Insurers can’t deny coverage to children with health problems. Limits on how much policies will pay out to each person over a lifetime are eliminated. Hundreds of older people already are saving money through improved Medicare prescription benefits. And co-payments for preventive care for all ages have been eliminated. Will this ruling help or hurt Obama in this year's election campaign?

According to the Washignton Post, here is what we can expect the program to provide in the future.
Starting in 2014, almost everyone will be required to be insured or pay a fine.There are subsidies to help people who can’t afford coverage. Most employers will face fines if they don’t offer coverage for their workers. Newly created insurance markets will make it easier for individuals and small businesses to buy affordable coverage. And Medicaid will be expanded to cover more low-income people.
Insurers will be prohibited from denying coverage to people with medical problems or charging those people more. They won’t be able to charge women more, either. During the transition to 2014, a special program for people with pre-existing health problems helps these people get coverage.

There have been numerous protesters of this Act, many stating that the requirements are unconstitutional and when are moving into a realm of socialism. Do you feel that this Obamacare is a form of control, deeming the mandates unconstitutional? Or is the conclusion of a educated man who has finally found a way to solve a major problem in our healthcare system? 

2012 NBA Draft: The 76ers Pick 15th

For most basketball fans the NBA Draft is a early highlight to a entertaining off-season. Teams are looking to add pieces to their roster that will provide immediate impact or add depth to the bench. This years draft will not disappoint if a team is in need of a big man(Power Forward/Center.) It is said that this years draft will provided several quality power forwards. Kentucky PF/C Anthony Davis; the second coming to Wilt Chamberlain, is expected to be drafted by the New Orleans Hornets with the 1st overall selection in the draft.

After Davis there are no clear cut superstar prospect, making it difficult to predict which player will be drafted by what teams. The Philadelphia 76ers hold the 15th(1st Rnd) and the 45th & 54th(2nd Rnd) picks in the draft. It is reported that the team is looking to upgrade their Shooting Guard and Power Forward positions. At pick 15 several top power forward options should be available for the Sixers to pick.

North Carolina's PF John Henson, Ohio State's PF Jared Sullinger, Baylor's PF Perry Jones III and Mississippi State's PF Arnett Moultrie are all options for the Sixers at pick 15. All of these players are athletic and can provide rebounding along with a defensive presence the team could use in the paint.

If the Sixers decide to go for a Shooting Guard, players like: Florida's SG Bradley Beal, UCONN's SG Jeremy Lamb, Duke's SG Austin Rivers, and Washington's SG Terrence Ross all can provide the scoring punch the team desperately needs. These players can create their own shot off the dribble and can consistently knocked down shots from the outside. Sixers fans should also expect a trade involving veteran swingman Andre Iguodala. Iguodala has been rumored to be a possible trade target of the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors for their 1st rnd draft picks. The team may look to hold out and take the best possible deal for Iguodala over the summer. If the Sixers stay put at pick 15 I predict the pick will be either Duke's SG Austin Rivers or Baylor's PF Perry Jones III. The 76ers are looking to change the culture of their team and the beginning of the process will take place on draft night. Check out the 2012 NBA draft on Thursday, June 28th on ESPN at 7pm.

Competitive Journey: Lebron James Earns A Ring

Soo "Its About Damn Time!" Yea the whole world was tuned in last night to either watch the Heat triumph  or meet their demise. Lebron James was definitely at the forefront accumulating as many critics as he did fans on his journey to a NBA championship. He finally got there, to a place where not all are promised.

The story here is about his journey to the top of the NBA. It maybe safe to say that Lebron has endured a generous share of pain and suffering over the last 4 years as far as basketball is concerned. Truth be told, the last 2 years, his national bold predictions just may have breeded all the criticism he has received.  Still he has proven that he possesses mental toughness, a trait that all great players must have especially in today's game with all these media outlets. Some feel that the pain is necessary and that all champions must pay their dues first. You must prove that you are capable of handling the pressure, if you wish to reap the benefits of success.

The Miami Heat closed out Oklahoma City last night in just 5 games. The Heat controlled the entire game last night as the Thunder appeared to be losing energy behind every missed shot. Durant, Wesbrooke and Harden tried to do all they could but they were simply outmatched. Meanwhile James was able to produce yet another triple-double finishing with  26pts 11rebs 13asst. Was this a clutch performance in a big game? Was Lebron the so called "Man" in this entire NBA finals?  I believe so, I believe he was able to silence most of his critics last night.

In conclusion hopefully Lebron's journey can serve as inspiration to all up and coming ballers looking to succeed in the NBA.  Let this story show that now matter your talent you still have to sacrifice, dedicate and  focus if you want to stand at the top. Also a lesson of pride was taught here, for James was said to be taking a back seat to Wade once he joined the team. If we are going to the same place on the same journey does it matter where I sit in the car??  Im Just Saying

Unsigned Hype: FAMOUS MAKERS (HOZ and SPOT NUMBERS)

Who do you get when two MC's decide to take a idea of filming videos and make it a reality??? The Famous Makers(Hoz and Spot Numbers) have been rhyming and spitting since the 10th grade. After becoming musically empowered these guys decided to take their vision of filming videos and running with it. The Famous Makers started by getting their feet wet with shooting videos for Hoz's brother and filming Spot's freestyles and performances at local city events. With limited resources and a average camera, they quickly learned to make do. Throughout the years the directing duo have upgraded their equipment, honed their visual skills and are confident in their ability to make any subject "FAMOUS." Spot Numbers and Hoz both continue to work on their music. Spot is still rapping, while Hoz who also goes by "Celeb Baby," raps and produces beats. With the filming idea now being a reality, the Famous Makers have the unique ability to produce audio and video. Wish You Were Still Here... Rodney King

We are saddened to pass along the news of Rodney King's passing. Mr King was found dead in his California home swimming pool. It was reported that King's fiancée told friends King spent most of Saturday drinking and smoking marijuana. The cause of death is not certain but at this point it is being called a accidental drowning. King is famous for his quote "can we all get along," after he was brutally beaten up by four white LAPD officers following a DUI stop on March 3, 1991.

A video was captured showing the officers hitting King 56 times with their batons. A five day riot in South Central L.A. ensued after the four officers: Theodore Briseno, Laurence Powell, Timothy Wind and Sgt. Stacey Koon were acquitted of criminal charges. The race charged riot was well documented, leaving over 50 people dead. The five days of rioting was plagued with looting, arson and racial beatings throughout South Central L.A.. Koon and Powell were later found guilty of federal civil rights charges and sentenced to 30 months in prison. After being asked about the riots during a recent interview King had this to say:

"I was raised not to be violent, and not to be rioting and carrying on like a wild man," he added, "but at the same time, there was a side of me saying, 'What else can you do?' I didn't agree with it, but I understood."

Soo, today should serve as a day of recognition to all the men who handle their responsibilities as a Father.  Every child needs a Father figure in there life, to provide that strong  firm structure which will prepare the child for the harsh cruel turns that life is sure to give. We have many men in all communities making sacrifices to raise his kids and those that are not his own. 

We look to support all the men who take pride in providing for their family and dedicating all their time to serve as the leader in the house hold.

Jay-Z Adds 40/40 Club To The Brooklyn Nets Barclays Center

Soo you knew it was only a matter of time befor Jigga expanded with his new project. With the Nets moving from New Jersey to Brooklyn and getting a brand new arena built from the ground up Jigga Man had to map space for his sports bar resturant chain.

Scheduled to open September 28th, the 40/40 Club will now have a home in the Brooklyn Nets Barclays Center. The club will be located on the suite level and will only be accessible to ticket holders for NBA games, concerts and arena events. With a 9,000-square-foot, 350 seated layout plan, fans will have luxury and entertainment at their disposal.

Balanced Attack: Heat Get Even With Thunder

Soo I'm sure most NBA final viewers are emotionally drained by now and its only been 2 games! The intensity, frustration and anticipation in this series so far has been unbelievable. The Thunder roared an energetic comeback in game 1, leaving the Heat fans filled with doubt.

The Miami heat did step up to the challenge, responding with a balanced attack last night. Lebron James received some much needed help from his counterparts. Wade who finished with 24pts, 5ast was aggressive from the start, and he was determined to get himself and Shane Battier in the score box early. Shane finish with 17pts shooting 5-7 from 3pt range, including a timely one late in the 4th quarter. Chris Bosh could be labeled as the unsung hero as he finished with a double-double 16pts, 15rebs. It was another day at the office for James, only this time he was seen putting in some last minute touches on his current project.

James hit his average yet again finishing with, 32pts and 8reb. The story here wasn't his 6pts in the 4th quarter, but the 2 free throws he hit under a minute to seal the deal. Maybe that delivery will hold off his critics, well only for a few days lol.

Throwback Jamz: "Self Destruction" Stop The Violence Movement

Soo chances are we will never be blessed with this form of hip hop again. We took it back to 1989 to remind folks that hip hop used to speak on positive uplifting. In this particular song, you have the East Cost All stars from New York coming together to speak out against the senseless violence occurring at that time.

The Stop The Violence Movement was created by KRS-One to send a message to the black community. His friend and DJ Scott La Rock was killed in a shooting about a year prior. Shortly after a young kid was killed in a fight at a Boogie Down Productions/Public Enemy concert. Fed up by the two tragedies KRS wanted to use hip hop music as tool to reach the youth. You think we can get the top rappers to come together and do this now...?? Think Hard

Split Or Financial Decision?? Bradley Over Pacquiao

Soo please tell me, just what the hell is entertainment without controversy?  Controversy although most time is viewed as petty and pointless, always seems to attract attention which in return means mo money!Yes I'm sure you either watched or heard about the fight between Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38Ko’s) vs Tim Bradley (29-0, 12Ko’s) this past Saturday night in La$ Vega$. 

Some felt the matchup was no big deal for the champ "Pacman" as he always seems to outwork his opponent regardless of their strength or size. On the other hand you had others who felt that Pacquiao would struggle with his challenger, and he was lucky to escape a decision victory in his last fight vs Marquez.
What actually happened and what was perceived got tricky..lol  What we do know is that statistics show that Pacman landed almost 100 more power punches than Bradley and Letterman's score card had Pacman leading unanimously by the 12th round. The judges however viewed the fight totally different than the HBO crew. Their scorecards read 115-113 Pacquiao, 113-115 Bradley and 113-115 Bradley again winning by split decision. Do you agree?  So why would the judges potentially "Rob" Manny of his WBO Welterweight title?? One theory goes to say that since Manny refused to take the $40million offered to fight Mayweather, he was looking to avoid the fight all together and thus he was stood in the way of mega blockbuster pay day for the powers-to-be who allegedly control Las Vegas professional boxing. Now undefeated Tim Bradley will be groomed and positioned to be a formidable opponent against Money Mayweather. The other theory was that a re-match between Pacman and Bradley will produce so much hype, anticipation and controversy that the boxing purse will be enough satisfy all those involved..  Either way supports that the final decision for Bradley was solely financial.

The Art of Storytelling: Big L

Soo lets jump on the turnpike and travel up to Harlem, New York and visit the home of a true lyricist. Yes sir, we are dedicating this article to the late-great Big L. Born Lamont Coleman on May 30th 1974 "Big L' was shot and murdered on the streets of New York back on February 15th 1999. A true hip hop legend in the game..May his soul rest in peace.

 L was known for his vicious attack on a microphone, the delivering was always precise and detailed. That's just what this song Ebonics gave you. Ebonics was the last single released while L was still alive, featured on his last album titled The Big Picture releases on August 1st 2000 under Rawkus Records.

Ebonics was Big L version of street language. In the song he served as a translator to make it clear to all the fans of hip hop music who listen daily, but may not understand the terms being that they are not from the inner city where these particular terms are used frequent. The song should be viewed as a street education in its own right, basically showing the usage of synonyms. Listen up below,  and appreciate the genius form of communication that hip hop has and always will present.

This type of song has great importance being that Ebonics/Slang was started in the black community, but somehow now has filtered into the media and mainstream music. He was able grasp the musical art form and contribute to hip hop's evolution.

Django Unchained starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio (Official Trailer)

Legendary film director Quentin Tarantino is back at it again with his new western flick Django Unchained. The movie stars Jamie Foxx as Django, a freed slave that becomes a bounty hunter.  Leonardo DiCaprio plays a evil plantation owner who Django looks to seek revenge against. Some people have been critical of the film, feeling like director Quentin Tarantino is making a mockery out of  the slavery period. Critics were even more furious, after learning the movie will be accompanied by a 70's soul soundtrack. The script can't be that bad since African-American actor Jamie Foxx took the role. Django Unchained is scheduled to hit theaters Christmas day. Check out the trailer below and leave us your opinion.

The Dream Team Documentary (Official Trailer)

My real basketball fans don't need to be reminded of who and what the Dream Team was. Arguably the best basketball team ever to be assembled world wide to perform in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona Spain. The Dream Team roster consisted of: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing,  Christian Laettner, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson and John Stockton.

Twenty years later the documentary will be released, detailing the tails of the super team and the inside beefs and on court battles along the way to capturing the gold medal. During the Olympic tournament, the Dream Team beat Angola by 68 points, Croatia by 33, Germany by 43, Brazil by 44, Spain by 41, Puerto Rico by 38, Lithuania by 51 and Croatia again by 32 in the gold medal game. Noted in the documentary was the bitter issue of one Isaiah "Zeke" Thomas being left off the team. It is known that Isaiah Thomas was highly upset that John Stockton was chosen over him to be on the Dream Team. The highly anticipated documentary is scheduled to air Wednesday, June 13th at 9 p.m. on NBA TV. Check out the trailer below and leave your opinion.

ZOMBIE ATTACKS???

After recently learning about "zombie" like attacks on people over the past few weeks, one can only ask "what the hell is going on???" The first documented incident took place in Miami, in the case of a naked man eating most of another man's face. Then reports surfaced of a similar attack in Maryland, where a college student confessed to police that he killed a man, then ate his heart and part of his brain. Finally in New Jersey,  a man stabbed himself 50 times and proceeded to throw pieces of his own intestines at police. In each case the individuals committing these zombie like attacks had a new for of "LSD" in their system. It is said that this new form of drug makes the abuser incredibly hot explaining why these people are naked when subdued by police. The drug also gives the abuser increased strength and a feeling of invincibility,while performing these horrific acts. The public has concluded that the people committing the horror movie type crimes are zombies. The public is now on alert and are now tracking the next reported incident in the wake of a possible "zombie apocalypse." Lol, although I am laughing, the public should not disregard these horrific acts as isolated incidents and should stay informed on the situation. Is this the beginning of the end??? Everyone likes to take shots at debating ESPN analyst Skip Bayless sports knowledge. The hip-hop community hasn't shied away from this challenge as Lil Wayne and Wale have already stepped up to the plate. This time around, up and coming rap star 2 Chainz took his sports knowledge onto the ESPN First Take set. 2 Chainz was joined on set by national NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless. The men discussed and debated the OKC vs Spurs playoff series. 2 Chainz came off to be quite knowledgeable of the questions posed by the host of the show. Unsigned Hype: Pean Da Hustla

Soo it appears the rap game in Philadelphia has become highly competitive. As always we roam the streets dipping in and out of every neighborhood to find out, just who can spit their story the best. This time around we stumbled upon a young hungry emcee coming from North Philadelphia who appears to be focused on his music.

Eric Johnson better known as Pean Da Hustla was born on September 29th 1989 in northern Philadelphia. His father was a poet, and he spent a good amount of time delivering his spoken word in various venues throughout the city. It was this kind of exposure that lead to Pean's passion for Hip Hop. He spent most of his  younger years studying the great lyricist and live bands such as Jay-z and The Roots. His persistent and dedication has led him to the gates of Hip Hop's culture, and he has vowed to break through with his own sound.

Currently Pean is finishing up on his summer mixtape titled I'm So Focused, which is scheduled to be released in July 2012. You can expect some stellar production as Pean, finds a clever way to announce his presence.
