Jay-Z and Kanye have released the visual for their Watch The Throne single "No Church In The Wild." My deep thinkers will argue that their is a deeper message to this song than it just being a hot track. It seems like these men are focused on trying to shed light on the history and future of mankind. Regardless of if Jay-Z and Kanye have inside information on the demise of the world as we know it, you can bet that most of this is going over the average persons head. The video which was directed by Romain Gavras, displays rebels or renegades standing off against the law in riot form. The video seemed to have a large budget from the special fx utilized in the scenes. None of the artist on the track can be found in this video. Check out the video below and leave us your opinion.

Nas has dropped the official video for his "Daughters" single, which will be featured on his upcoming album "Life's Good." The Chris Robinson directed video captures Nas's daughter Destiny's, point of view while growing up. It is documented that Nas was disappointed when he found out about his daughters questionable decisions through social media. As a father, Nas gives you the perspective of a dad who is raising a daughter to be a responsible individual.  Nas sheds light on some of the difficulties fathers have when having to raise a little girl while juggling a busy schedule. Andre Iguodala Dunks Over Paul Pierce...And 1!

Soo are you not entertained?? Did the Philadelphia 76ers really take a stand on their home floor?, fighting and scrapping for every possesion in front of a sellout crowd. Yes Sir! The 76ers made a strong statement tonite, and they looked pretty good doing it. Point Guard Jrue Holiday showed some good poise on the floor as he led the team with 20 points. It appeared that this constant penetration showed to be too much for the Celctic defenders. Although Holiday's play stood out the offense did have a good balance to it. Everyone chipped in proving yet again that with good ball movement and sound coaching, a team full of mid level stars can still be effective. Elton Brand definitely showed his an old dog still willing to bite. But judging from the total score it maybe safe to say that defense won this game.
Coach Doug Collins, defensive scheme made Rajon Rondon look like a regular player tonite keeping him to a low 4-14fg 9pts and 6asst. Each of the guards on him made good adjustments through pick and rolls and high ball screens. Rondo did show some sparks with his rbounding(9total), but it was nothing like his normal triple-double nights. Pierce and Garnett showed resilence, but it wasnt enough.

Lets Talk is Omarion's (Maybach O) first single with MMG, since he officially signed with the label last month. The track can be found on MMG Self Made 2 album, which is scheduled to be released in stores on June 26th. Omarion has been non existent the past few years and is looking to revitalize his musical career under the Rick Ross umbrella. People have been critical of this union and question if Omarion is a natural fit with MMG. MySpace To Make A Comeback

After Facebook took control of the social networking world, the once beloved MySpace faded into the rear view. Armed with a new game plan, MySpace is reported to be relaunching in late 2012. According to reports, MySpace was purchased in 2005 by New Corp for an estimated $580 million, but its value dropped to $35 million by 2011. Musician/Actor Justin Timberlake along with Specific Media, is the ownership group that purchased MySpace last year. The forgotten social media network was once the most visited social media platform during its prime. MySpace will look to improve the user experience with a improved user friendly interface. MySpace will also look to incorporate a entertainment angel to their platform. Can MySpace retake the social networking crown upon its return??? We shall see.

The Art of Storytelling: KRS-ONE

Soo the time has come again where we focus our attention on the great hip hop artists who possess the ability to tell a great story over music. KRS-ONE aka "The Teacher" has been making heavy contributions to the game for over 30 years now. Whether its directly in his music, speaking at seminars or counseling the youth in his spare time, KRS stands for the conscious sector in hip hop.

We looked back to the 90s to choose a song that he wrote, exposing his level of education and communication on the street level. "Love's Gonna Get'cha" (Material Love) was a dramatic detailed story telling the rise and fall of KRS's journey to fast money and fame. The story begins as KRS explains his current financial state in the lower class in the Bronx, New York. He narrates his poverty-like living conditions for him and his family. With no consistent income the family shares everything and is forced to live off  meager accommodations.  As in every ghetto neighborhood there is a rich drug dealer who always looking to recruit new workers.

The plot surely thickens now, being that KRS is eager and willing to change his position at any cost.  He  secretly yearns for all the luxury items that money can bring. After sometime of drug dealing and eventually becoming his own boss, his name is now known throughout the neighborhood as a provider. With visible signs of a better living, jealousy and envy now is the emotions of his once cordial peers. Being that he had no prior experience and  real knowledge of how evil and deep this drug game can get, he finds himself along with his brother, the target of a vicious murder attempt. Filled with anger and rage because of his brother's injury, he now looks to retaliate. Retaliation is successful, but the consequences in the midst prove to be far more costly than any money can pay. In conclusion, I think the message here was priceless and is still relevant today. The game in its current state can always stand to promote some strong positive MCs who don't mind dropping some knowledge for the youth. KRS took you into the life of young black ambitious male, who started out to help his family but ended up being consumed and blinded by the material love.

Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Museum To Be Based In Manhattan

Soo according to The Wall Street Journal, organizers of the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Museum have finally confirmed Manhattan, New York as the home base its establishment. The facility is projected to implement a list of features including a restaurant, arcade, concert lounge, television studios, marquee, community and corporate rooms and a gift shop.

Business development manager Bobby Fisher says no details on actual location will be available until the deal in completely done. The deal is reported to be complete sometime in July.

Will Smith Smacks Affectionate Reporter!!!

For those who question if Will Smith is still a Philly guy, he may have answered doubters with his recent reaction to a Moscow reporter. Will was approached on the red carpet by the reporter during the premiere of Men In Black 3 in Moscow. The reporter greeted Smith with a attempted kiss on the cheek but the guy obviously got overly affectionate. A angry "Fresh Prince" responded by pushing the reporter and proceeded to back smack the guy. After the altercation a cool headed Smith response to the other reporters was  "He's lucky I didn't sucker punch him." Despite the aggressive reaction Smith remained positive while greeting the remaining reporters. This incident should serve as notice to people who think Will Smith is "sweet." Soo we gave you an introductory article back in February titled Melodic Euphoria: Platinum Mustache. In the article we explained just who the hell these guys were(lol). The name alone aroused tremendous curiosity, leaving viewers wondering will they be exposed to the group again. Meanwhile the soulful rock band has been at working creating  more thought-provoking, addictive music. The energy has been traveling through Philly, New York and South Jersey. Now they prepare for their summer tour with a kick-off in South Jersey!

LeSean 'Shady' McCoy Receives Extension From Eagles

Since the beginning of the off-season, the Philadelphia Eagles have been focused on retaining their own players. The birds have already given contract extensions to: Trent Cole, Todd Herremans, Evan Mathis and DeSean Jackson. The trading of Asante Samuel, gave the Eagles the cap relief needed to offer McCoy a contract extension. According to reports, McCoy's deal is for 5 years and is worth up to $45 million with $20.765 million guaranteed. The contract extension now makes Shady the third highest paid running back in the NFL behind only Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson. McCoy only had one year remaining on his rookie deal which would have only paid him a base salary of $615,000 this season. The resigning of McCoy will complete a productive off season for Eagles management. Resigning their own players along with trading for DeMeco Ryans and having a solid draft proves that the Eagles are building around a core nucleus of players. This upcoming NFL season should be a special one for the Eagles.

The energetic Waka Flacka Flame is on the cover of the June issues of XXL magazine. The controversial rap artist discusses several issues from running a label, his new album and what it was like to live with Nicki Minaj. Waka also shared how he copped with the passing of his good friend and Brick Squad member Slim Dunkin.

'The Campaign' Starring Will Ferrell & Zach Galifianakis’ (Official Movie Trailer)

With the presidential election right around the corner, politics will be the talk around the water cooler. "The Campaign" looks to make light of this stressful time of year. Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are perfect for their roles as politicians. Ferrell plays a Southern politician running for office opposite Galifianakis in a congressional comedy making fun of American politics. The film also will offer a strong supporting cast which will include veteran actor/comedians John Lithgow and Dan Aykroyd. Risky Investment? Facebook's IPO Rises...

Soo my corporate people love it when I talk like this..More financial news has hit the press today concerning Facebook's IPO which is scheduled to be offered on the Nasdaq Stock Market on Friday under the ticker symbol "FB." The social network company now expects to sell its stock between $34-$38, and increase from the previous projected $28-$35. Reports from MSN state that should the shares sell for an estimate of $36, the sale would raise nearly $11billion.
Just the talk alone of possible ownership of the world's most popular social networking site, has investors salivating at the mouth. There hasn't been this much buzz around and IPO in years, making the heavy demand and anticipation a good reason to increase the initial offering range. Facebook is selling 180 million of its shares in the IPO. Another 157 million shares are coming from existing stockholders, including the company's earliest investors and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This IPO IS expected to be the largest ever for an Internet company.

Great news for the existing stockholders who cold stand to make $5.98billion collectively on the deal. The risk factor falls with the everyday day investor who may feel that a $38 price tag per share wont allow them to purchase a significant amount. Most of the shares are expected to go to people with connections to the company or large, active accounts with one of the big banks or brokerage firms directly involved in the stock sale.

I believe there is still money to be made here, being tho that initial price could very well double within the first two-three day with a a possible simmer down to $50-$55 per share. The best thing about this IPO is that everyone is interested, and the "want" is increasing to a "need." The more investors that feel as if they "need" this stock in their portfolio the better chances you have at making a good return on your investment.

Teyana Taylor Signs To G.O.O.D Music...

Soo now its really looking like Mr. West is focused on building up a well rounded team for his music label G.O.O.D Music. Confirmed reports have been buzzing all over the Internet for the past few hour, stating that singer-songwriter, actress Teyana Taylor has just inked her deal with Kayne's label.  The two have been friends for some time and he definitely values her opinion, being that she helped create a couple of tacks off of Yeezy's 5th album My Twisted Dark Fantasy. We should expect her now to take her talents to the press where she will probably hint at her upcoming projects with the label. Her latest project was released in April, a mixtape titled The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor.  The mixtape was her way to pay homage to the likes of Lauryn Hill, Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige.

Rumors were circulating over the weekend of a announcement that would be made by Philadelphia Mayor Nutter and Jay-Z on Monday. Well the secret has been leaked, and it's a pretty big one. At 10:30 Monday morning, Jay-Z will join Nutter on the art museums steps to announce The Budweiser "Made In America" music festival . The festival will be two days, taking place Labor day weekend on Philly's Ben Franklin Parkway. The Budweiser "Made In America" festival will be headlined and coordinated by Jay-Z.  The event will be promoted by Live Nation. Soo what would the world be without all the caring and loving mothers of  the world?? We would like to take the time to acknowledge the strong women who sacrificed their time and dreams to make sure their children received a decent up bringing. Let this article also reach the woman who could not bear a child of her own, but still was able to serve as a motherly-figure through adoption, marriage and family.  Hopefully, everyone takes the time today to express their feeling towards their mother (if they can), for we are certain that tomorrow is never promised.

Though this is not true in every case, there are plenty women living in the inner city who are forced to raise a child alone. Maybe these women should get recognized on Father's Day as well...What is does show is the strength and endurance that our women possess, making it clear that every great man came from a far greater woman.

Gangster Squad is the latest cops and robbers film that will be highly anticipated by movie goers. The trailer display action throughout while covering the base of the movie. The film stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, along with old school actors Sean Penn and Nick Nolte. Gangster Squad is scheduled to hit theaters on October 19, 2012. The mafia/crime thriller was directed by Ruben Fleischer ("Zombieland"). This film will be a hit with crime and mafia movie fanatics. The star studded film will be a box office smash during its first weekend of its release.

Andre 3000 To Play Jimi Hendrix In Biopic Film

Soo your man 3 stacks is really looking to complete his resume on this one, huh.  Yes the report has been confirmed on multiple sources that Andre 3000 will like to portray the life of Guitar Legend Jimi Hendrix.  The film will be titled All is By My Side and it captures Jimi's experiences in England from 1966-1967. During this time he was working on his debut album, Are You Experienced, which is heralded as a classic piece of artwork. The feature film will be written and directed by John Ridley, whose previous films includes the screenplays for "Red Tails" and "U-Turn."

Although you may notice a slight resemblance in appearance between Andre and Jimi, their skill set is far apart when it comes to the guitar. Andre did in fact  played the guitar, on his hit single Hey Ya! but only 4 chords was used as Stacks admits he has much to learn.

Many are excited about the news, not only to view 3000 under the camera, but also to be reminded of greatness. Jimi Hendrix is arubably the best guitar player of all time and his music shal live on forever.

The track features Maybach Music Group boss Rick Ross. The video has a classic feel, with the song portraying the ups and downs of a rocky relationship. Throwback Jamz: New Edition "If It Isn't Love"

Soo yes its that time again when we journey back to revisit some of your favorite classic jamz. This group very well should get inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame. Who did it better than Ralph Ronnie,Johnny, Bobby, Ricky and Mike??(lol). That's right New Edition made you feel good about yourself in their music, introducing the real meaning of a boy band. These guys was the coolest teenagers around, and knew just what to say to women back in their teenage days. With lead singer Ralph Tresvant aka Mr. Sensitivity at the helm relationship topics appeared to be captivating.

The single If It Isn't Love was released in 1988 off of the album Heart Break. The song was an instant smash hit allowing a group of young black men to be honest with their emotional feelings. At the climax of the song Ralph seems to stand alone, as he proudly admits he loves his woman. Although his counterparts were shocked in disagreement, he did not care, this was something that he wanted off of his chest(lol).

The group did not stay together for long as Bobby Brown left for a solo career along with Johnny Gill. Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie Devoe stayed to form BBD.

Soo how about you check out this news, on an up and coming artist whose buzz is traveling faster than a New York minute. Now that's definitely fast pace I know, but Brooklyn native rap artist Black has been hard at work making sure his story catches your ear. A conscious story you may find when you listen, as Black seems proud to keep his style hip-hop. Its always respected in this game when an artist is brave Enough to stay true to himself in their music. With a relentless work ethic and some precise hard lyrics its clear that this artist will have his spot in the game. Black has seen his schedule fill up over the past few months as he has been doing shows all over New York gaining followers every time he blesses the Mic. MEEK MILL - DREAMCHASERS 2 (Official Mixtape)

After letting the anticipation build, Meek Mill is set to release his sophmore mixtape with MMG. Dreamchasers 2 is scheduled to be available for free download on May 7th at 2:15 pm. The mixtape was originally scheduled to be released on April 24th, but was pushed back as a result of strategic planning by the label. Meek is one of the rap games rising stars, with his ability to spit raw street music and market new urban products. Meek is also set to headline the Club Paradise Tour with fellow rappers: Drake, J. Cole, Waka Flocka, 2 Chainz and French Montana starting on Monday May 7th.  The tour will conclude before the release of his Dreams and Nightmares debut album, which is set for release this summer. Meek celebrated his 25th birthday last night and hosted several celebrities for a yacht party on the Delaware River. The VIP list included: Rick Ross, Wale, French Montana, Juelz Santana, DJ Drama, Philadelphia 76ers basketball player Lou Williams and several others. Meek continues to do big things for the city. With his debut album on the way, the sky is the limit for the Philly born star.

Justin Bieber's Mentor... Floyd Mayweather???

Most eyes were on the Miguel Cotto vs Floyd Mayweather fight on Saturday night. Floyd aims to entertain during his fights but this time he provided pre-fight gossip. On his way out to the ring, Mayweather was accompanied by good friend 50 Cent and none other than teen heartthrob Justin Bieber. Most people probably asked themselves, "what the hell is Bieber doing walking $$$ Mayweather out to the ring???" Well it seems as though the two parties have history. It is reported that after Floyd saw Bieber's movie, "Never Say Never," he reached out to his management. The two maintained a friendship after meeting and Floyd decided he wanted to mentor the teen sensation. Bieber is said, to feel as though his mentor is "misunderstood," while stating he is a "hard-working and clean-cut guy." It seems as though Floyd is trying to clean up his image with his career winding down. I guess another way to make yourself look good in the public eye is to befriend the All-American kid.

Beastie Boy Member Adam Yauch Passes On...

Soo its true that many fans feel that hip-hop is not dead, but those same individauls may agree that a part of it did this morning. Pioneer hip-hop group The Beastie Boys grieve the loss of one of their members today as, multiple sources confirm that the emcee Adam Yuach has died at the age of 47. There are still no confirmed reports on cause of death but we do know that the producer and guitarist was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node in 2009. He did undergo surgery and radiation therapy and his recovery process slowed down the group's album release and touring schedule.

The Beastie Boys in the 80s

The group consisted of  Mike D, Ad-Rock, Mix Master Mike(DJ) and AdamYuach. Formed in 1979 The Beastie Boys music shifted to hip-hop and became dominant in mid-late 80s when they dropped  Licensed to Ill, it became the best selling rap album of the 1980s and the first rap album to go No.1 on the Billboard. The first single from the album, "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)", reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
All well respected embraced the group throughout the years, and all fans show their support and appreciation today on the loss.

RED HOOK SUMMER Directed By Spike Lee (Official Movie Trailer)

Legendary film director Spike Lee has released the trailer for his low budget film "Red Hook Summer." The film is preparing for general release after getting rave reviews during the Sundance Film Festival. The latest Spike Lee Joint is said to be more like a independent film. The movie was shot in three weeks and was funded entirely by Lee. Red Hook Summer is the latest in Lee's list of films that take place in Brooklyn, including "She's Gotta Have It," "Do the Right Thing," "Crooklyn," "Clockers" and "He Got Game." Red Hook Summer is scheduled for release on August 10th in New York. Lee made this statement in a recent press release...

"I'm elated to join forces with Variance Films for the independent distribution of my new joint Red Hook Summer,We look forward to getting this film into the marketplace, where we believe 100 percent that there is a starving audience for American independent films."

Spike Lee Joints are always classic cinematography and acting, with a clear message at its conclusion. I fully expect Lee's latest effort to be no different.

Family First: Keyshia Cole & BET Present Another Reality Show

Soo finally she has resurfaced to let her fans know that she is doing just fine. Keyshia Cole just recently announced that she has partnered with BET again to produce another reality show titled Family First(The Working Title). The six-episode show will air sometime in the fall, giving viewers an inside look at her life as a family member, mother and wife proving to be her most vulnerable state.
The executive producers are as followers: James DuBose of DuBose Entertainment, Keyshia Cole, Daniel Gibson and Michele Barnwell.

Keyshia's first project with BET was a reality show titled The Way It Is, which aired from 2006-2008. The show gave viewers a look at Keyshia dealing with family base and efforts as a recording artist. Obviously there is a demand to see more of Cole's daily activities. If its anything like the first show, prepare yourself for some heart felt scenes with a splash of drama..#Im Just Saying

Omarion Has Officially Signed To MMG

Omarion is the latest addition to the growing Maybach Music Group roster. Rick Ross announced the signing of his newest artist Omarion "Maybach O," at a invitation only press conference in NYC. There were recent rumors of Omarion and former Bad Boy and G-Unit artist Ma$e, being in the studio together working on new material. Reports indicated that it was Ross, who brought the two artist together in a attempt to sign them to MMG. With "Maybach O" now in the fold, it's only a matter of time until Rozay lets the Ma$e cat out of the bag.

Casual Dance?? Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vs.Miguel Cotto

Soo as we turn our attention to the world of professional boxing, we find that this anticipated event seems to lack its normal luster. Hard to believe especially when Floyd Money Mayweather is the featured figure in the event. The fight is set to take place on this Saturday May 5th 2012 on HBO-Pay-Per-View at 9pm ET.  For some reason there has been less trash talking, less drama and more respect given on both sides. Many want to know why? Well there are many opinions floating around out there as to why this fights seems to get mild attention.  For one this is probably the best opponent that Floyd has faced in years.

Miguel Cotto(37-2, 30 KO) comes in skilled, hungry, determined and equipped with a dangerous combination that can pull off a semi-upset. Unlike Floyd's last challenger Victor Ortiz, Cotto resembles a true boxer, and his last fight vs Margarito proved just that. Although he punished Margarito, its noted that Cotto may bruise easy and his defense will have to stand the test of speed coming from Floyd.
Mayweather(42-0, 26 KO) comes in focused, motivated and fast enough to dominate on the score cards. It's his defense that sets him apart from the other fighters, hard to hit what you can't catch.
He always trains hard regardless of who he is fighting, and we should expect a well prepared Mayweather to enter the ring.

Mayweather has been rather modest in all his interviews showing much respect for Cotto as a man and a boxer. Some people are taking this as a sign of uncertainty. Could it be that Floyd does not want to brag and anger his opponent, knowing that he can be beat , and tarnish he perfect legacy??  There will be thousands of ticket holders hoping and wishing that this is the day, that this happens. Many are praying for his downfall(lol).

Others such as myself believe that "Money" Mayweather will come out victorious at the end. He has the timing, speed and defense to to overcome whatever Cotto can put together. Still lets remember this will take place in Las Vegas, should Floyd leave any room for doubt in the ring then........Anything is possible #Im Just Saying
