Whats Your Excuse???

Soo here we find ourselves examining the art of acting and storytelling. Lying is a real way to put it(lol). This article is pertaining to the great lengths that people are willing to go, just to leave their place of employment early. I think everyone can relate to this story, because we all have been sitting at work rattling ours brains for the perfect excuse to cut out of the door.  Make no mistake, this process calls for detailed premeditation and the final plan must be processed and recited over and over again. A choppy story with a few holes in it, just may come off as foolish and unbelievable. In most cases your boss probably doesn't buy your story, but with a good presentation and delivery, you will at least receive some sympathy feedback.

A hangover is a popular reason why someone may look to adopt this impulsive behavior. We have an example for you. With Peach Ciroc lingering on his breathe, one individual stated to his supervisor that he wasn't feeling well just before lunch. The response he received clearly indicated that he had to finish his day at work. Terrified of  the thought, he then sought to more drastic measures. While remaining in her presence this employee begins to stage a vicious cough attack. He creates an erratic scene as he falls to the floor with saliva bubbling in the corner of his mouth.... Just as his boss speaks of dialing 911, he miraculously finds the strength to come to his senses(lol). The result was him gingerly making his way off of the premises 30 minutes later.
There are many excuses that have been recycled through time. You may have heard "I have a family emergency I need to attend to"..."My child just got sick at school"..."My sister is locked out" yes this really was used. Pay day Fridays may serve as a reason to leave for some too. We wanna know what do you think is appropriate to say when one is trying to leave work early. Have you said or done anything abnormal to make it to happy hour on time??
As always this is all in fun, just to get you to laugh maybe while your at work.(lol)

  2. Lol lol. This post is hilarious. I know several people, including myself that's used several excuses to leave early. Here's my famous story. I was living in Miami, Florida and 2 of my homies came down on a Thursday night. Of course we went ou partying thr night & I had to be at work at 7am... Well, drinks were flying from all angles and who can say no to free drinks, not meeeeee...!!!!! Sooooo needless to say, I was still drunk at work; oh and I made It to work on time...

So it's Friday and I'm at work drunk, and more friends were due in around 6pm and I wanted to get some sleep to party with them that night. Soooo I walked into the bathroom at work and went into a stall. I waited about 10 minutes until someone else walked in. I began to fake dry heaves and coughing. The anonymous voice asked "are u okay?" I proceeded to say "naw man, I think I have a stomach virus." the anonymous voice said "man sorry to hear that, I think u should leave early." I waited for about 10 more minutes before leaving the bathroom... I wanted the office to be buzzing and whispering about my illness. After coming out the bathroom, the supervisor came to my desk (I had my head down in between my arms) and asked was I ok. I told him I may have eaten something bad and need to go home early. He looked me in the face and asked me if I could tough it out for the rest of the day... I said I'll try, but I'm not cleaning up any throw up... I told him I'm not responsible for what happens. He told me to change my timesheet and put a half day sick & go home.

When I left, a devilish smile came over me and I let out a laugh reminiscent of the Narrator at the end of the Michael Jackson's Thriller song...!!!!! Lol lol.... Went home, got sleep, and partied like it was '99.

  6. @Swindler .. consider that one stolen!!! lmao!! and my crew at work si like safety 1st, family 1st, type of people!! OH YEA!!! that will be the birthday weekend relief!!!
I don't think i have ever went to such depths to get out of work but i have fake a hangover as a stomach ache, and sleepiness as a flu liek feeling!!! I think the worst was my brother. he works in a prison in San Diego and he had me call the prison fake that "our" dad (we dont have the same dad) was just hurt its a family emergency, so that he could get out of work .. oh btw i live in Sacramento lol ... im thoughts are when you have sick leave why even give reason use it and LEAVE "im just sayin!" lol

  7. Good one swindler, i did something very similar on my 21st birthday....was out drinking, went to work the next day w/hangover and planned on heading out later that night. I was a lil sick but I could have worked but I did the fake stomach virus. Now that I think about it that is my MO....when I want to get out if work I've usually eaten something that has caused me to throwup. I prepped my old boss early..one day I was like can you get me a ginger ale cuz my stomach is upset....next day I called out. But I agree with anonymous if you have "sick time" just tell them I'm using it and be out. No explanation needed
