Whats In Your O.J.???

There are concerns about the juice that most people start their day off with. The Coca-Cola Co. stated Wednesday, that it found an unapproved fungicide in orange juice made by Coke and its competitors. Coke immediately informed the federal regulators of their findings, stating some Brazilian growers had sprayed trees with the substance(carbendazim.) The Coca-Cola Co., who manufacture Simply Orange and Minute Maid, did not disclose which brands had shown the fungicide. Oranges from Brazil are used for both aforementioned brands. The Environmental Protection Agency stated that it is safe to drink orange juice, with low levels of the fungicide present. Overseas shipments of orange juices are being halted at ports, while the FDA conducts tests for the fungicide. News like this makes you think twice about what you consume daily. Stay informed people!!!

  1. Do I need to start growing oranges in my backyard and squeezing my own OJ? This ish is getting out of control. Fungicide in OJ, arsenic in apple juice...WTH! I truly belive we need to start becoming urban farmers growing our own fruits, veggies, etc to feed our families. Buy some land and start cultivating it folks! #teamurbanfarmers
