Soo here we have the legendary hip-hop artist Ice-T dedicating his time to direct a well thought documentary, that explores the roots and history of Rap. Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap takes it viewers on a deep journey, to show how the once called Street Music(Rap) has now become a dominating force in the world. Along the way Ice-T chats with some of the game's most heralded stars including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, MC Lyte, Grand Master Caz, Chuck D, Afrika Bambaataa, Nas, KRS-One and Kayne West. The film offers some timely performances and gives you a feeling of true authentic hip-hop.

While there is no confirmed release date for the film, expectations have it for some time this year.  In celebration of the documentary Ice-T Chuck D and Grandmaster Caz will be performing at the Sundance Institute's annual Celebration of Music in Film on January 21 in Park City, Utah. This will serve as the first time that Hip-Hop has been featured at this event.
