Behind The Music: Corinne Bailey Rae

Soo here we chose to travel abroad again to cover a jazzy musician, who's sound is soothing to the ear.
Corrine Bailey Rae born on February 26th 1979 in Leeds, England, has created her own lane in the music business. She released her first hit single back in February 2005 title "Like a Star" off of her first album titled Corrine Bailey Rae(2006). Her next single "Put Your Records On" which is her biggest hit to date selling over 945,000 downloads and reaching number 2 on the charts in the UK. Her next album The Sea(2010) featured 2 hit singles "I'll Do It All Again" and "Paris Nights and New York Mornings." The album was highly anticipated as it was warmly received by her fans totalling 6 million sold between the first two albums. Still riding high, she embarked on her second world tour, The Sea Tour, with 82 concerts, and had a gross profit of $ 19 million. The tour visited UK, Europe, US (Spring and Summer) Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Middle East.
Her most recent releasing The Love Ep(2011) consisted of 5 of her favorites love songs, including the old time hits from  Prince "I Wanna Be Your Lover", Bob Marley "Is This Love" and Paul McCartney & Wings "My Love."  If you are a fan, I'm sure you are wondering just when will she bless us with another soulful album. Its hard to classify her music in just one genre, being that she dares to explores all the realms.
Check out her live performance of her hit single in Williamsburg.
