After trading Kevin Kolb to Arizona the Eagles now have a hole at backup QB. With Vince Young recently being released, will the Eagles have interest in making him Vicks backup??? Young, who possesses a raw skill set, has yet to reach his full potential. Young has had on and off the field issues while in Tennessee that stunted his growth as a starting QB. With the Eagles recent track record to groom backups into starters, V.Y. would make the perfect #2 QB for the team. Will this union take place???  I think it should, but who am I lol

Chances are u may speak on them guys I blogged about back on 7/11/11(Hip-Hop Royalty Check the Archives for the post) Maybe Kiss and Styles read my post and figured they would represent themselves in the quest for Throne..These two guys have made much noise rapping on tracks together for years, having the great opportunity to study with the late Biggie Smalls..Their street image never seems to tarnish..Kiss states on the new Otis freestyle(Jay-z and Kayne new track) "I aint watching the throne but I got my eye on it." Oh yea, for all my real hip-hop heads we know the stakes just got higher. From Drake and Wayne announcing their duo album to then Jay and Yeezy actually put one together, Now Kiss and Styles putting their 2cents in..Hip-Hop may just have a pulse again(lol)

Well it looks like Donovan McNabb's time down at the White House is over. In just one year with the Redskins the team is now looking to trade him as they have more faith in John Beck to start at QB. "John Beck???" My point exactly. lol

The NFL is Back in Business!!!

After a 130 plus day lockout ended yesterday, the madness which is the NFL off season has begun. Today was the first day that teams could begin to make contact with their own players and Free Agents from other teams. It has already been noted that the Eagles will not resign any of their own free agents. So players like: Stewart Bradley,Quintin Mikell, Sav Rocca and backup running back Jerome Harrison will no longer wear eagles green. The Eagles obviously want to move in a different direction after coming to this conclusion. Everyone is waiting to see where Kevin Kolb ends up next season. The most likely destination seems to be to the Arizona Cardinals, with recent reports of Kolb and Larry Fitzgerald working out together this off season. All and all the NFL is back in buisness and there are sure to be many more reports to surface.

Sooo Mike Vick has made it his business to go to Capitol Hill an show his support..Fresh clean suit and all..He has spoken to Congress in the support of an anti-dogfighting bill. While Vick sounded like a machine standing in front of Congress(lol) it appears he has taken this matter seriously..Since his road to redemption began, it seems as if Mike is more concerned about the youth following his every move off the field. Its ya opinion to say whether all his acts are genuine or not, Fact is he has been working hard towards positivity trying to gain public favor again and prove he can use better judgement..Some will never forgive or forget, Some will use his story for motivation. For in this fight he was knocked down but not knocked out..

 A Desperate Situation...Tens of thousands of  Somalis are feared dead from the world's worst famine in a generation according to the U.N..Some blame the 20 year civil war that has been going on..the areas are controlled by Al-Qaeda-linked militants who have been said to disrupt the distribution of relief aid food..Others may say the 2-year drought which has killed a large percentage of live stock is a large contributing factor because herders depend for food for income. Without those assets, families have lost a great deal of their purchasing power, and making matters worse is the internal conflict gripping Somalia—a severe discouragement to development. Oxfam International (a confederation of 15 organizations working together to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice) believes 1billion is needed for famine relief. The U.S. has announced an additional $28million in emergency funding on top of the $431 million in assistance already given this year. There were only 35 players to shoot 50% or higher last season, so this is not a easy task. Evan has turned to the "shot doctor" Herb Mcgee to help with his broken form. Mcgee is the head coach of the Philadelphia University Men's basketball team, and a well known shooting instructor. Mcgee has worked with several local Nba products from Jameer Nelson to Malik Rose. Mcgee preaches repetition and is said to be a patient teacher. Turner seems eager to improve his game and is showing dedication during a lockout.

Google Adds One More..

Soo the California based search giant has jumped into the social networking industry yet again, looking to gain market share and compete with Facebook and possibly Twitter. They have now introduced Google+ which gives you a similar feeling of direct contact with family and friends on the web.  Although the site is still in Beta testing(A test for a computer product prior to commercial release) you can still sign up for it.  Lets remember Google tried this avenue about a year and a half ago with "Buzz" that site had little to no success. Google+ seems to be more appealing or its just good timing for the growing company they already have 10 million members.  One major difference from Facebook, Google+ allows you to group friends in categories called "circles." Circles can be used to see News Feeds (called Streams in Google+). Brand to produce 2Pac Film???

Elton Brand is known for his position of power in the NBA but he seems to hold this same position in Hollywood.

Brand owner of Gibraltar Films has signed on to produce a biopic on the life and death of Tupac Shakur. The film scheduled to be released in 2013 will be directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day and Brooklyn's Finest) and exective produced by Afeni Shakur-Davis (2Pac's mother.) With a biopic for Christopher "Big" Wallace (Notorious), already being produced with mixed reviews, Brand's company can not afford to drop the ball on the life of a Legend.

Precise Tweet Equals A Scholarship...

Soooo who knew social networking could further your education..Well this apparently is true, The University of Iowa feels as tho a precise tweet is worth $37,000.  That's the price for a full scholarship to the university's graduate business school.  They have a contest, for applicants to submit their tweet by July 28th, the person with the most creative tweet will receive a two year full scholarship to the MBA program.  Applicant are to answer the question as follows.."What makes you an exceptional..full-time MBA candidate and future MBA hire?" Applicants can only use 140 characters, which means they have to get to the point immediately..Apparently the university feels this form of communication will be needed in the business sector, so why not entice students to improve their social media skills...Think you can explain ya-self in 140 characters? Looks like its becoming beneficial to try.

Planking seems to be the new craze throughout social media sites. Individuals are seen laying face down in unusual locations with the intent to capture pictures or videos and upload them to social media engines. Planking is defined on wikipedia as

Does Jimmy Rollins owe The Phillies a hometown discount??? Rollins who is in the final year of his contract has recently stated in a interview that "there is no such thing as a hometown discount." Does this mean that J-Roll would like to move on; maybe not but he doesn't sound like he is willing to give the hometown Phillies a break. Is it worth it to The Phillies to resign Rollins to a lucrative deal with his stats declining since the World Series run in 2008??? I believe J-Roll's future may be decided by a World Series win or loss this season.

Well Drake said so on Dj Khaleds' "Im on One" ..Some feel that was a shot at Kayne and Jay-Z who coincidentally have done a callabo album titled "Watch The Throne"..Which was suppose to be released on July4th ..Drake was on Tim Westwood Tv a few months back and was talking indirect, hinting that he felt they copied the idea from him and Weezy...Yup! this is great for Hip-Hop which is as highly competitive as any sport..Still dont have a confirmed date on J and Yeezy release..But we do know that both rappers are as cocky as they come, and each line will be condescending to all those listening.. Can they really claim Kings right now? With Young Money growing as fast as they are..With Carter IV on the way? Either way as both Camps Spit for Position, we as the public should be in store for G.O.O.D Music(lol)...

Sooo comedy may just be getting a spark,everybody gets there turn to shine.  Just so happens Affion Crockett is up next, Who is he?..You may have seen him on Nick Cannons' "Wild n Out" stealing the show with an array of personality swings..Started out in 1996 on HBO Def Comedy Jam demonstrating his impressions and physical comedy..Now he looks to host his own show titled "In The Flow" with Affion Crockett (produced by Jamie Foxx) which premieres on Fox on August 14th from 9-10pm..What a combo!, No telling what u may witness lol.  Lately Affion has been impersonating anyone his make-up crew can get they hands on..They all over you tube.. From Chris Brown,John Legend, and Rick Ross, For some reason He seems to love Drizzy Drake.. Checkem Out! lol

Is Free Agency holding up The Lockout???

As we all know the NFL and its players have been in negations to strike a new CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) deal. Per ESPN a major factor in the deal not being reached this week is Free Agency. Will players with at least 4 years of NFL experience (under rookie contract) with years remaining become Free Agents??? This has become an obvious issues due to the fact that there will be almost 500 Free Agents to hit the market if this matter is agreed upon. With this being said who would you like your team to target with this influx in talent???

To begin I just wanted to take the time to pay respects to Ex-Utah Jazz Forward Armen Gilliam Aka "The Hammer", who collapsed and died while playing in a pick up game on the night July 5, 2011 he was 47..May he Rest In Peace..
As for the other for Ex-Utah Jazz player, Derron Williams maybe looking to take his talents abroad.
Jeff Schwartz Williams' new agent confirmed on Espn that the star guard has said if the NBA Lockout Lingers he will play for the Turkish team Besiktas. Maybe Derron wants to stay in shape...?  Maybe he wants to go find out what happened with Allen Iverson(lol) who also played for Besiktas..As for the money Allegedly he is to be paid $5million from a "special sponsor" of Besiktas. There will be a clause in the contract for him to leave the team once Lockout is lifted. Should he get hurt in Europe it could void his 2 year $34million deal...Sooo Whos Next..?

NFL Lockout Torments Fantasy Lovers

You just wanna hear its over..Thats all, CLOCK is ticking, and most are hoping they will be able read reports on their favorite picks and their sleepers while in training camp..The Fantasy community feels far more vested than the average fan..And Why not?..We actually know these guys(lol)... Most teams are scheduled to start late July with a few in early August, maybe there is enough time to get things back to normal...Maybe..But just how many players are using their time wisely to stay in top shape?..Fantasy players seek all information for leverage, For any news is good news..
